Sidewall damage
Any bulge, cut deep enough to reach the cords, or impact-related crack on a tyre sidewall is an immediate replacement.
A bulge means the internal cords have separated; the tyre can deflate or burst at speed without further warning. Sidewall damage cannot be repaired safely — the only correct response is a new tyre.
